How Many Hours Of Airconditioning On Your Yacht?
How many hours of airconditioning on your yacht? – The most often asked question is definitely how many hours of air conditioning is allowed on the yacht.
I can imagine that you want to know this because let’s be honest if you come in July or August Turkey and Greece can be pretty warm. In those days or maybe it is even better to say that it is really hot! So in this period it is nice and comfprtable to have a good airconditioning on your yacht, but how many hours are allowed and is it inclusive the yachtcharter price?
Well first of all I can inform you about that the fact that this is different per yacht. So when you settled for a yacht please ask your agent for detailed information. Most of the standard gulets for example turn on the airco around 17:00 and will close the airco around midnight.
How many hours of airconditioning on your yacht?
As you might know or maybe you might not, airco runs on the generator and the generator runs on fuel. Fuel has become quite expensive the last few years, so the standard gulets won’t run the generator 24/7.
In the daytime when you are cruising around and the wind is blowing around you don’t need it, but in the evening when you want to go to bed it is nice to have a cool cabin. We must also not forget that in a bay where are more yachts the generator is not allowed to be turned on due to the noise.
A generator generates noise that is for sure. So if there are a lot of more yachts next to eachother it is likely that the captain will not turn on the generator. When you are in a harbor they can use the electricity of the harbor facilities, but for this you must pay extra. This kind of details must be checked very well to prevent disappointment.
The more luxury & expensive gulets provide 24/7 airconditioning, which is quite normal because with every luxury & price comes a service & quality.
