Hidden treasures of the beautiful Turkish coast.
Turkey is not only popular because of the sun, beach and nightlife, but also because of the rich history of many cultures, such as the Romans, Hittites, Assyrians, Greeks, Persians, Seljuks and Ottomans.
Most Turkish cities have a history that goes back to the Roman and Greek period and from which remains can often be found. Major historic cities such as Istanbul and Izmir are very popular with tourists, but hundreds of historic sites can still be seen throughout the country.
You have the ancient Greek ruins of Troy, Ephesus, Pergamon, Milete, Hierapolis, Myra, Priene, Aphrodisias, Termessos, Sagalassos, Xanthos, Assos, Kaunos, Side, Sardis, Cnidus, Phaselis and Didyma. Most of these places can be easily reached from or with your private yacht or your agency can organize an exclusive excursion for you.
Hidden treasures of the beautiful Turkish coast.
This is only the interior that I am talking about, but Turkey also has a coastline of more than 6530 km.
The Turkish west coast on the Mediterranean Sea consists of three important coastal areas.
These are:
Aegean coast:
Bodrum, Gumbet, Bitez, Izmir, Turgutreis, and Tuba are located on the Aegean coast of Turkey.
Kusadasi, Ozdere and Seferihisar are located on the North Aegean coast of Turkey.
Lycian coast:
Marmaris, Dalyan, Fethiye, Gökova, Icmeler, Ölüdeniz, Sarigerme and Turunc are located on the Lycian coast of Turkey.
Turkish Reviera:
The seaside resorts on the Turkish Reviera are the holiday resorts on the Gulf of Antalya. These are Alanya, Antalya, Belek, Kemer, Lara and Side.
Then there are countless bays and coves and abandoned harbor towns that no one has ever heard of.
Here you can eat the most delicious dishes in local fish restaurants in the evening and the locals will enchant you with their hospitality and friendliness. One thing is certain; Turkey is a country that will enchant you and embrace you and that you will never let go.
