Lipsi
Lipsi is located east of Patmos and north of Leros and belongs to the Dodecanese. The town of Lipsi with its photogenic white houses is located against a hill at the end of a deep cove.
Lipsi is a small island, about 10 square kilometers in size. In the harbor you will immediately see the church of Agios Ioannis with the blue dome. Furthermore, there are a number of nice beaches on the island such as that of Platis Gialos.
The Nikiforion museum is also worth a visit. Lipsi has a land area of 16 km2 with a coastline of 35 km and a population of 610 inhabitants. It is an island with low hills, scrubland, wooded coasts, small valleys and ideal for peaceful vacations.
The history is the same as that of the other islands of the Dodecanese. The current settlement Lipsi was founded by a Cretan. The wine produced here was once of a very high quality
